Every member of our team joined J's Grooming Lounge because they care deeply about animals — not just grooming them. We invest in ongoing education, keep up with breed-specific techniques, and prioritize each pet's comfort above speed or volume. Below you'll find brief profiles of the people your pet will meet.

Jennifer S.

Jennifer founded J's Grooming Lounge in 2017 after spending nearly a decade working in veterinary clinics and grooming salons across western Pennsylvania. Her background in animal health gave her a strong understanding of how grooming affects overall pet wellness — not just appearance.

She specializes in working with anxious dogs and those with sensory sensitivities, using low-stress handling techniques developed through years of hands-on experience. Jennifer takes continuing education seriously and regularly attends grooming workshops to stay current with breed standards and coat care practices.

Marcus T.
Senior Groomer

Marcus T.

Marcus joined the team in 2019 and quickly became one of our most requested groomers. He grew up raising Labrador Retrievers and developed an early appreciation for proper coat maintenance. Over the years, he's worked with a wide range of double-coated and working breeds, building particular skill with deshedding and undercoat management.

Outside of grooming, Marcus volunteers with a local dog rescue organization, helping prepare dogs for adoption by introducing them to basic handling and hygiene routines.

Rachel B.
Cat & Small Dog Specialist

Rachel B.

Rachel has a background in feline behavior and completed additional training in low-stress cat handling before joining J's Grooming Lounge in 2020. She is the go-to member of our team for cats, small dogs, and any pet that needs a particularly patient and calm approach.

She works closely with owners to understand each pet's history and comfort thresholds before starting any service. Her methodical, unhurried style has earned trust from clients whose pets had difficult past grooming experiences.
